USAID Reaches out to Minority Serving Institutions

​The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) held an all-day summit for minority serving institutions (MSI) on November 6 in Washington, DC. The event, which was attended by representatives of MSIs from across the country, featured an overview of USAID opportunities, a panel session on the strategic direction of USAID programs, tips for finding and taking advantage of the right USAID opportunity, and advice from program officers on what USAID is looking for in proposals and collaborations.

HUD and DOJ Work Together to End Homelessness Among Re-entry Population

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Department of Justice have annou​nced​ they are partnering to create the Pay for Success Permanent Supportive Housing Demonstration (PFS), an $8.7 million program focused on testing cost-effective ways to prevent homelessness and reduce recidivism among the justice-involved population.

AAC&U’s 2016 Summer Institutes

Three of AAC&U’s Summer Institutes—the Institute on General Education and Assessment, the Institute on High-Impact Practices and Student Success, and the Institute on Integrative Learning and the Departments—offer campus teams a time and place for sustained collaboration.
