Apply for Housing: Submitting your Deposit & Contract

In order to help you plan your year, the Office of Residence Life has prepared this information
for you.

The housing assignment process is completed through Residence, our housing management software. Starting March 22, new students that have paid the $500 college deposit (which includes the housing deposit) can access Residence at https://smcm-residence.symplicity.com and log into the system using their SMCM network information. Access to Residence should be granted within 1-2 business days after payment has been received.

You can secure on-campus housing by completing the housing contract using the following steps:

  • Log in to Residence.
  • Look for the section on the homepage labeled “Applications”.
  • Click on the blue “Get Started” button next to “New Student Housing Contract 2020-2021” to complete the application (which is your housing contract).
  • Read and submit the housing contract.

All students must complete the Housing Contract and Drug Acknowledgment form.

A paper contract is available below. Paper Housing Contracts will be entered into the system by our staff and should take 1-2 business days to process after we have received them.

All resident students are required to read and submit the Housing Contract before moving into the residences. A housing assignment cannot be made until the contract is submitted. Students who do not submit the contract by June 1 will lose their priority for housing and will be assigned to whatever space is available (if any) at the time that their contract is received.
