Peer Academic Success Strategies (PASS) Specialists
The Office of Student Support Services (OS3) created the Peer Academic Success Strategies (PASS) Specialists Program as part of the academic support network for students. The PASS Specialists are trained in a variety of academic approaches and work with individual students or small groups to help them learn how to effectively and efficiently: review course syllabi, read textbooks, take notes in class and from textbooks, manage their time (including how to avoid procrastination), get organized, prepare for, take, and follow-up (or debrief) from exams, and talk with professors and academic advisers.
To schedule an appointment with a PASS Specialist, please call 240-895-4388. PASS Specialists also hold Walk-in Hours on Tuesdays from 4:00pm – 6:00pm and Wednesdays from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in Glendening 254. Your peers are ready, willing and able to assist you to be academically successful!
