Professor Cognard-Black Publishes Article About Honors Programs and Colleges in the U.S.

SMCM Student’s Photo Published in Chemistry in Pictures

September 13, 2017

Chemistry student and photographer Lynn Stevens ’19 had a photo published in the American Chemical Society’s Chemistry in Pictures website. Working with Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dan Chase, Stevens combined the chemicals β-ketoiminato boron difluoride and 4-N,N-dimethylbenzaldehyde through a Knoevenagel Condensation resulting in fluorescent dyes. Alumna Participates in Collaborative Conservation Effort

Alumna Nicole Zimmerman ’14, recently spent a week capturing and tagging Columbia spotted frogs in the remote Indian Valley in central Nevada, along with other volunteers and biologists from state and federal agencies. A New Graphic Identity
