vCalc Internships Lead to Products of Global Use

This summer a group of students at SMCM are completing internships with vCalc.com. The site is a crowd-sourced calculating encyclopedia, a “Wikipedia for equations,” Chris Lynch, a vCalc intern, commented. St. Mary’s College of Maryland Completes Building Campaign and Names Athletic Stadium Complex

St. Mary’s College of Maryland announced today it has completed the College’s building campaign, raising $2.5 million in private gifts. Goats tackle invasive kudzu on campus

April 25, 2016

Kudzu is an aggressive invasive plant species found all across the United States, including on the campus of St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Professor Katharina von Kellenbach Joins Network of Scholars

March 17, 2016

Katharina von Kellenbach, professor of religious studies, has successfully participated in a network grant proposal to fund a network of scholars over the next three years. This news follows a talk von Kellenbach was invited to give at the German Film Premiere of Regina: The Story of the World’s First Woman Rabbi Regina Jonas in Berlin in November, 2015.

St. Mary’s College Professors Awarded NSF Grant Funding New Emerging Scholars Program

St. Mary’s College, vCalc LLC Collaboration Wins MIPS Grant

February 23, 2016

St. Mary’s College of Maryland has been awarded a $97,361 grant, jointly funded by the Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) program and vCalc LLC. The grant will fund student research and development of high-value, college-level math formulas and data for vCalc.com, a Wiki-based crowd-sourced calculating encyclopedia with over 7,000 calculators and users in over 100 countries. St. Mary’s College, Calvert County Partner to Document Piscataway Indian Historic Sites

January 13, 2016

St. Mary’s College of Maryland in partnership with the Calvert County Historic Preservation Commission recently received funding from the National Park Service’s Underrepresented Communities Grant. Assistant Professor Liza Gijanto Awarded Funding from Preservation Maryland

St. Mary’s College, NAWCAD Collaboration to Expand Beyond Physics

Associate Professor Betül Başaran Awarded NEH Grant to Lead Summer Seminar
