St. Mary’s College Announces Eight for Athletic Hall of Fame of 2016

Sean Reid ’07 Named Fulbright Scholar

July 15, 2016

Sean Reid ’07 (SOAN) has received a Fulbright U.S. Student Award to Ghana in anthropology from the U.S. Dept. of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Reid, a PhD candidate at Syracuse University, will do his dissertation fieldwork in Ghana.

Sociology Professor Louis Hicks Receives National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute Award

Louis Hicks, professor of sociology, is a summer scholar awardee for the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute on American Veterans in Society. Hannah Lewis (’16) wins prestigious Jefferson Fellowship

Jennifer Cognard-Black’s anthology, From Curlers to Chainsaws: Women and Their Machines (Michigan State University Press, 2016), has won Independent Publisher’s 2016 Gold Award in the “Anthologies” category. St. Mary’s College designated conference champion in EPA’s green power challenge
