Visiting Assistant Professor of Art Giulia Livi was awarded the 2017 Young Artist Prize in the Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards. The awards are a visual art prize produced by the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District that honors artists under the age of 30 from Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. The annual juried competition awards $14,000 in prize monies to selected artists and features the work of the finalists in a group exhibition. The exhibition is on view through Sept. 30 in Gallery B, located in downtown Bethesda, 7700 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite E. The gallery is located two blocks from the Bethesda Metro station and parking is available in the public lot on Woodmont Avenue. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Saturday, 12 – 6 p.m.
