Professor Cognard-Black Publishes Article About Honors Programs and Colleges in the U.S.

Visiting Associate Professor of Sociology Andrew Cognard-Black recently co-authored the article “Demography of Honors: The Census of U.S. Honors Programs and Colleges.” The article uses new data that allowed Cognard-Black and his collaborators for the first time to identify common administrative structures and curricular features of honors programs and honors colleges in the United States. Richard I. Scott, past president of the National Collegiate Honors Council, and Patricia J. Smith served as co-authors for the article that appears in the most recent edition of the Journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council.
