Fall 2016 semester, Dr. Barry Muchnick, assistant professor of environmental studies at St. Mary’s College, and Dave Minges of the Maryland Environmental Trust, partnered in a pilot program to bring land steward experience and the role of conservation easements to students in the Keystone Seminar in Environmental Studies. A feature story highlighting the program is featured on page 10 in the Maryland Environmental Trust 50th anniversary newsletter titled “Land Marks.” Muchnick envisions the course becoming a model for land conservation training by other colleges and universities nationwide.
