For the first time in its history, the men’s rugby team, a club sport at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, is one of eight teams selected to play in the national small college championship in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, beginning June 4. The other qualifying teams are from Babson College, Louisiana State University – Alexandria, New Mexico Highlands University, Susquehanna University, Claremont College, Franklin & Marshall College, and Ithaca College.
The team is coached by volunteers Larry Donmoyer and Terry Pledger.
