-Recognized on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) “Top 30 College & University” list of the largest green power users

-Ranked among top green colleges by The Princeton Review
-Joined more than 200 universities and colleges in signing the White House-sponsored American Campuses Act on Climate Pledge

-Actor, author, and humorist Aasif Mandvi delivered the 9th Annual Twain Lecture on American Humor and Culture
-Dr. Angela Davis delivered the Margaret Brent Lecture and was honored with the namesake medallion
-Author Ivan Coyote, activist Tim Wise, and spoken word artist Clint Smith gave talks as part of the year’s signature anniversary events
-Pulitzer Prize-winning author and famed Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein delivered the 2015 Benjamin Bradlee Distinguished Lecture in Journalism
-FEC Commissioner Ellen Weintraub presented the lecture “From Citizens United to McCutcheon”
-Michael Steele, former Maryland lieutenant governor, gave the keynote address for the 2015 Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast
We had a great year in competition and athletics…
-Nick LaGuerre ’15 became the first player in college history to be named an NCAA Div-III All-American
-Boasted the highest percentage of CAC Scholar Athletes in 2015
-Added men’s and women’s rowing to the list of Seahawk varsity sports
-Head sailing coach Adam Werblow was inducted into the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association’s Hall of Fame
-Three alumni sailors helped lead the USA sailing team to gold in the 2015 International Sailing Federation Team Racing World Championship
-The Ethics Bowl Team qualified for National Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Competition
We “grew” our resources…
-Added a new major in environmental studies
-Constructed a greenhouse on the Campus Community Farm with a grant awarded by Bon Appetit
-Launched new study abroad programs in Rome, Perugia, Florence and Sicily
We froze tuition for the third year in a row…
-The Board of Trustees voted not to increase tuition once again for the 2015-2016 academic year
We said farewell to the Class of 2015…
-Graduated 430 seniors during 45th Commencement Ceremony
-Graduated 28 students with the Master of Arts in Teaching Degree
