After a nationwide search, St. Mary’s College of Maryland has appointed Tressa Setlak as its new director of public safety. Setlak will report to Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Leonard Brown. She will join St. Mary’s College on Monday, Nov.2.
Setlak brings to St. Mary’s College over 25 years of experience in campus security and law enforcement. She most recently served as public safety sergeant at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa. Prior to her work at Cabrini, Setlak was director of campus safety and security at Harrisburg Area Community College.
Setlak will take responsibility for the leadership and oversight of all activities of the St. Mary’s College Office of Public Safety, and will work in tandem with community partners and stakeholders to advance the office’s various goals and initiatives.
She holds two master’s degrees, in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati, and in public administration from Pennsylvania State University.
