The 2015 International Sailing Federation Team Racing World Championship came to a close with a dominant USA team heading home with two Division titles. Three St. Mary’s College Seahawks made up fifty percent of the USA1 team that streaked ahead of the competition to finish in the top spot and take home the Gold.
Alumni Justin Law ‘ 08, Adrienne Patterson Kamilar ’08, and Michael Menninger ’11 sailed with three other former college sailors (from two other teams) to win the regatta held this past week in Rutland, UK.
“Our team is thrilled with our win and overall performance at Worlds,” said Kamilar. “We have all worked very hard leading up to this point. St. Mary’s College was an instrumental part in developing our team racing philosophy and Coach Adam [Werblow] and Bill [Ward] played a positive role in our sailing careers.”
