Kent Randell, archivist and faculty librarian at St. Mary’s College, has been appointed to the Historic Preservation Commission by the Commissioners of St. Mary’s County. His term is effective July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2018.
Randell teaches “Introduction to Archives and Information Science” in the Museum Studies Department. He recently published a book chapter titled “No Bottleneck Here: The Role of Physical and Cultural Place in Finnish American Archival Collections” in the book “Identity Palimpsests: Ethnic Archiving in the United States and Canada.”
