Adriana Brodsky, associate professor of history, has earned a $4,000 research grant from the American Philosophical Society in order to advance her study, “Navigating Multiple Diasporas: Argentine Sephardi Youth at home and in Israel, 1948-1976.” With this grant, Brodsky will be able to work in three Israeli archives and at the National Israeli library. Her study “untangles how diasporic, transnational and ethno-national identities competed with and complemented each other and advances our understanding of youth as political and cultural actors.”
