Jonathan Fuentes ’15 was recently awarded a scholarship from The School for Field Studies to study with its organization in Peru. Founded in 1980, The School for Field Studies strives to provide students with a meaningful study abroad experience through a focus on field work and study.
Jonathan is studying sociology, museum studies, African and African Diaspora studies as well as environmental studies. He hopes to pursue a career centered on sociology and plans to attend graduate school for either social work or life course sociology. Outside of the classroom, Jonathan has been involved with the Raices Hispanas Club and the Nicaragua Service Trip. He enjoys volunteering for nonprofit organizations such as the Brookside Nature Center and aWiderCircle.
