Associate Professor of Art Carrie Patterson was selected to have her art presented at Cloyde Snook Gallery at Adams State University in Alamaso, Colo. Her work is currently being featured in the gallery in a National Juried Exhibition titled, “Squared,” through April 4. Patterson’s piece, “Mistaken Identity: Artist Proofs from 2004 – Present,” showcases a collection of her artist proofs from over the past three years that have, with the help of St. Mary’s students, been converted into 1.5 X 1.5 squares and glued together into cubes of varied size. With each cube, Patterson chooses to cover up and display “mistakes” that, when combined, make a complete piece.
