The Annual SMCM WGSX Conference
FOR STUDENTS BY STUDENTS
Transcending Boundaries is an annual student-run! WGSX conference that opens up on-campus dialogue and allows members of the SMCM community to share and present ideas to their peers in a professional, academic setting.
If your essay or presentation deals with the TRANSCENDING of SOCIAL BOUNDARIES such as RACE, GENDER, CLASS, SEXUALITY or ANY OTHER BOUNDARY that needs to be DECONSTRUCTED*DISCUSSED*OVERCOME THEN WE WANT YOU!
Looking for potential panelists to talk about their work, share ideas, pose new questions, and think critically about the boundaries in our everyday world.
THE DETAILS…
WHO: Any student/faculty/staff member with a paper or presentation focusing on what was discussed above.
(You do NOT need to be a WGSX minor/major/student to submit.)
WHAT: Any original scholarly paper, presentation, or abstract
WHEN: Please email your submissions by midnight MONDAY, October 21st. Accepted panelists will have 15 minutes to present their work at the conference. The conference is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, November 15. Accepted presenters will be notified by November 1.
