Kate Chandler, professor of English at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, will read from her works as part of the VOICES Reading Series at St. Mary’s College on Thursday, Feb. 14. The reading will be held in Daugherty-Palmer Commons, starting at 8:15 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
Kate Chandler received her B.A. from New College of Florida and her M.A. and Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University with a dissertation in romantic literature and has since turned her research to environmental literature. She edited the anthology “Surveying the Literary Landscapes of Terry Tempest Williams: New Critical Essays” (University Utah Press, 2003). At St. Mary’s, Professor Chandler works with cross disciplinary studies between the English and Environmental Studies Departments, and advises the Environmental Living Learning Center.
