On Friday, March 1, the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Jazz Band and Combo will celebrate the Golden Age of the Big Bands. The Jazz Band, led by Don Stapleson, will feature the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and Glenn Miller. Former Jazz Band director and St. Mary’s College alumnus Rick Humphreys will be the guest soloist. The concert, starting at 8 p.m., will be held in the Auerbach Auditorium of St. Mary’s Hall. This event is free and open to the public.
