Latin America is no stranger to brutality incited by politics. John Green, an expert on political violence there, will talk about “Political Murder in Latin America and the Conflicted Roles of the United States” at 8:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, in Cole Cinema at St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s Campus Center. Green is a visiting professor at Washington and Lee University, a senior research fellow for the Council on Hemispheric Affairs in Washington, D.C., and a specialist on the country of Colombia for the Andean Co-group, Amnesty International USA. The talk is free and open to the public.
