Jeffrey Kripal, author of “Mutants and Mystics: Science Fiction, Superhero Comics, and the Paranormal,” will focus on how the paranormal has helped generate popular cultural genres of pulp fiction, science fiction, and superhero comics at 8:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, in Auerbach Auditorium of St. Mary’s Hall at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Kripal is the chair of the Department of Religious Studies at Rice University. This talk is free and open to the public.
