The Fourth Annual Summer Encore Chorale Institute will be held at St. Mary’s College of Maryland from June 21-25 for adults aged 55 and older of all singing levels. The institute will offer choral rehearsals, voice classes, and professional recitals. Also offered will be daily movement/Yoga classes. Students will eat and live on campus, and attend a River Concert. “Encore is the largest and fastest growing choral program for older adults in the country,” said Kelly, “and we are pleased to be returning to St. Mary’s College.”
Previous institutes have attracted singers from ages 55-94. It will conclude with a choral concert, open to the public, at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 25, at Auerbach Auditorium in St. Mary’s Hall. Registration deadline is May 15.
