St. Mary’s College of Maryland faculty and staff explore issues of intimacy and sexuality as they relate to understanding ourselves, in an 8 p.m. lecture Tuesday, February 15, in Montgomery Hall Room 151. The lecture is part of the “Facing Fences” community outreach project and is free and open to the public.
The lecture, “Intimacy, Power and Voice: How our hungers for intimacy and sex conspire to confuse and ennoble us,” will be led by Michael S. Glaser, professor emeritus; M.J. Raleigh, director of counseling services; Meghan K. Root, the counseling center’s sexual assault/wellness advocate; and Kyle Bishop, assistant director of counseling services.
Facing Fences – Southern Maryland is a collaboration between college and locally affiliated groups intended to explore the fences, boundaries, and rights-of-way – both physical and metaphorical – that enclose us or divide us.
