St. Mary’s College of Maryland’s VOICES Reading Series will feature poet Laura-Gray Street at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, in Daugherty-Palmer Commons. Street is co-editor of Ecopoetry: A Contemporary American Anthology. This event is free and open to the public.
Her work has appeared in Many Mountains Moving, The Human Genre Project and several other publications. Street has received a poetry fellowship from the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the Editors’ Prize in Poetry from Isotope, the Emerging Writer in Poetry Award for the Southern Women Writers Conference, the Dana Award in Poetry, and The Greensboro Review’s Annual Literary Award in Poetry.
