Licensed Practical Nurse (2 part-time positions)
St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting resumes for two part-time positions of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our campus Wellness Center. These are contingent part-time (20 hours per week) positions with a $25.00 hourly rate of pay.
St. Mary’s College Wellness Center provides holistic health, mental health, and advocacy services to students on campus. The duties and responsibilities for the LPN position include providing direct care and health education to students of the college under the supervision of a registered nurse. The LPN will provide COVID-19 testing for symptomatic people using appropriate protective equipment and procedures. The LPN will utilize electronic records, collect specimens, respond to emergencies, and provide clinical support for health care provider visits, both telehealth and in person.
Qualifications: Applicants for this position must hold a current license in the State of Maryland as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Excellent phlebotomy skills required. Must communicate well in English, both orally and in writing. Must hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support card. One year of clinical experience is required and more experience is desirable. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
