Fiscal Administrator
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the position of Fiscal Administrator in Institutional Advancement. The position ensures accurate processing of gift and non-gift monies received by the St. Mary's College of Maryland Foundation, Inc. Duties include performing a variety of complex clerical and bookkeeping work, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting records and database maintenance. The successful candidate will manage pledge, gift and non-gift processing, oversee gift reconciliations, communicate with donors about payments, prepare bank deposits, produce reports, ensure timely delivery of data requests, and maintain and update records in the database, among other duties as outlined in the full job description.
Qualifications: An A.A. degree is required, B.A. degree preferred. The successful candidate must have at least three years of responsible experience in bookkeeping, accounting or secretarial assignments involving advanced record keeping (directly related business school or college courses may be substituted equally for up to one year's experience). Experience with Raiser's Edge or another Blackbaud product is preferred, although candidates with experience in other CRM systems will also be strongly considered. The successful candidate must have proficient Microsoft product skills including Excel and Word, be detailed oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, communicate well through written and oral word, and have the ability to perform a volume of numerical work accurately. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
