Assistant Athletic Trainer (Two 10-month, full-time positions)
St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for two 10-month Assistant Athletic Trainer positions. Responsibilities include: assisting the head athletic trainer with day-to-day operations, including evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletically injured student-athletes; maintaining medical records; attending team practices and events; teaching; and may include administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. These are 10-month, full-time positions with benefits.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, NATABOC certified, first aid & CPR certified and State of Maryland Licensed or eligible for licensure are required. Must possess a valid driver’s license, ability to travel and to work nights and weekends are required and ability to lift approximately thirty (30) pounds. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree, first aid & CPR instructor, Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist, and two years’ experience at the intercollegiate level. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
